our mission

Green Lake Festival of Music, Inc. is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to entertain, inspire, and educate through musical performances and activities of the highest quality. 

The Festival’s two-month summer season includes 

  • A flagship concert series featuring top-quality artists from throughout the U.S. and beyond 
  • A two-week Chamber Music Institute for string musicians ages 18+
  • Choral Programs for singers ages 18+
  • A Composer in Residence whose music is featured in concerts by the Festival Chamber Choir and by Chamber Music Institute participants
  • The Thomas E. Caestecker Series of family concerts 
  • A Children’s Chorus program

Festival concerts range from classical chamber and choral concerts to jazz, cabaret, and world music. Most concerts are held in the historic Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake and Ripon College’s Rodman Center for the Arts. Additional venues for concerts and community engagement include area churches, libraries, and retirement communities in surrounding cities including Ripon, Oshkosh, Neenah, and Fond du Lac.

Green Lake Festival of Music concerts are free of charge. Donations of any amount are welcomed and gratefully encouraged. GLFM is a 501 (c) 3 (EIN: 39-1336204) and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. 

Green Lake Festival of Music, Inc. is a member of the Chamber Music America, the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, the Ripon Area Chamber of Commerce, Wisconsin Arts Board and the Wisconsin Presenters Network. Green Lake Festival of Music, Inc. is supported in part by the Performing Arts Fund, a program of Arts Midwest; State of Wisconsin, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Other funding comes from the Green Lake County/Ripon Community Foundation, Green Lake Chamber of Commerce, Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, and private/corporate donations. Promotional support has been provided by Wisconsin Public Radio.
