Widen Your Horizons! Chamber Music Workshop - July 5 through July 18, 2008. The Amelia Piano Trio, one of America's top young ensembles, has created a student experience that is truly one of a kind. Their world-class musicianship and dynamic and fun loving personalities are combined with true caring for each student. Talented high school and college aged violin, viola, cello, bass and piano players are invited to apply. (Call the Festival at 1-800-662-7097 for information). Students may apply individually or as pre-formed chamber groups. The camp is based at Ripon College and students are housed in college dorms.

Curriculum
- Each student will participate in at least two different ensembles
- Daily one-on-one coachings with the faculty
- Multiple master classes and community performance opportunities
- Chamber orchestra with the faculty
- Sight-reading sessions with the faculty
Two public student performances as part of the Green Lake Festival series:
- "A Circle of Sound" student/faculty in the round orchestra concert in a historic barn
- Final Chamber Celebration concert in the historic Thrasher Opera House

Fees Chamber Music workshop: Application fee (non-refundable): $40
Tuition and facility fee: $575
Room and board (optional): $675
Total $1,290
Transportation to or from the Appleton, WI airport will be available for $25 each trip per student or group travelling together.
To hold your reservation, a non-refundable deposit of $250 ($125 for commuters) is due within 30 days of your acceptance. The balance is due by June 5, 2008.
Early bird special: 10% discount on total fees ($1,160-save $130!) if application received by March 1, 2008 and all fees paid in full within 30 days of acceptance. Applications received after March 1, 2008 will be reviewed in the order received until all places are filled.
Refund Policy All requests to cancel enrollment must be made in writing. If cancellation is received at least 30 days prior to the session, all money except the audition fee and the non-refundable deposit will be refunded. Any cancellation made less than 30 days prior to the session will result in a forfeiture of all money paid. If a student leaves during the workshop because of illness or documented family emergency, a prorated refund will be paid.
Application Procedure
- Please print out and complete the chamber music application form and have your teacher fill out the recommendation form (not required for returning students). On a separate sheet of paper, please describe your solo, chamber ensemble, and/or orchestra experience, including representative works studied and performed. Please include any awards or honors received.
- Prepare an audition recording (audio or videotape, or CD), which should include two contrasting pieces or movements, each about two to four minutes in duration. Please include the $40 application fee, payable to the Green Lake Festival of Music. Live auditions will be scheduled. Call the Festival office for information.
- Scholarships-If you are interested in applying for financial aid, print out and complete the Financial Aid Application Form . If a scholarship is awarded, the amount will be deducted from your final payment. Full scholarships are rare.
