Dmitri Levkovich (July 6-7), pianist and composer, won first prize in the Hilton Head International Piano Competition, as well as the Cleveland Institute of Music Concerto Competition.  He performed the Third Piano Concerto by Rachmaninoff with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra in the spring of 2004.
Levkovich was awarded the Canada Council Grant for Professional Musicians to support his studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he already obtained the Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance Degree and is currently pursuing his Master's Degree under the renowned pianist Sergei Babayan.

The Biava String Quartet with composer Stacy Garrop (July 7-9)
The
July 7 program by the Biava Quartet, winners of the prestigious Naumburg Chamber Music Competition, includes Haydn’s famed quartet The Joke and a Quartet in C minor by Brahms.  The concert’s centerpiece will be the area premiere of Stacy Garrop’s String Quartet No. 2 Demons and Angels.
“It’s hard to miss the anguished story inside Stacy Garrop’s [String Quartet]. The slashes of the first few chords rip at the ear with the can’t-change-the-channel-now effectiveness of a CSI episode opener, but as the 30-minute work unspools, it quickly takes on a character more closely aligned with the timbres of a fairy tale.” – Molly Sheridan, Time Out Chicago.

The Beethoven Triple Concerto and More! (July 10) This concert will feature the outstanding faculty of our chamber music workshop, highlighted by a performance of the Beethoven Triple Concerto for piano, violin and cello played by the Amelia Trio accompanied by an orchestra composed of the students in the workshop. Faculty members Cathy Kautsky, Desiree Ruhstrat, and David Cunliffe will perform solo and chamber works.
